Michael Setzer
Chief Executive Officer
Transdev, Nassau County

Michael Setzer, Vice President of Transdev, is CEO of the Nassau County bus system responsible for Veolia's contract with Nassau County. Mr. Setzer has more than three decades of municipal transportation experience, having previously served as General Manager of large bus systems for Cincinnati, Minneapolis and St. Louis.

He has had numerous significant achievements in the field of municipal transportation, including building and commissioning the first light rail operation in Minneapolis, creating the first paratransit system in St. Louis, and twice receiving the industry Innovation Award from the American Public Transportation Association.

Mike is looking forward to working with the County, bus system employees and the riding public to identify ways to improve the system saving taxpayer dollars. He has a track record of impeccable integrity, positive employee relations and balancing quality and efficiency. He understands the pivotal role that public transportation plays in the lives of people and is dedicated to making the best possible choices now, to emerge from these tough financial times with an even stronger and more robust transportation network in the county.

Larry Kucera
Chief Operating Officer
Transdev, Nassau County

Larry has a long and extensive background with 38 years of management experience in the transit industry.  Most recently he was the General Manager at Phoenix Transit and Las Vegas Public Transportation. His style of management is aimed at optimizing each employee’s potential for success. The goal is to harness the staff’s energies and talents and direct them towards providing excellent service for our NICE customers. Fostering an atmosphere of teamwork is key to reaching this goal. 
 
Larry will concentrate his efforts in ensuring that our operations are able to support the efforts of Nassau Inter-County Express in providing safe and reliable transportation to the citizens of Nassau County.
